1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cauldron (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. User Accounts
To use certain features of Cauldron, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to notify Cauldron promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
3. User-Generated Content
Cauldron allows you to create, store, and manage your own recipes and related content, including but not limited to: recipe text, components, ingredients, instructions, remarks, images, messages, and social interactions. All of this is referred to as “User Content.”
You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by uploading or creating User Content on Cauldron, you grant Cauldron a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:
- You have the rights or permission to post, upload, or share the content.
- Your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other rights of third parties.
- Your content complies with applicable laws and these Terms.
Cauldron does not routinely review User Content but may remove or restrict access to content that appears to violate these Terms or applicable law.
4. Imported Recipes and AI-Assisted Tools
Cauldron may offer optional tools that assist you in importing or transcribing recipes from external sources, such as:
- Web page URLs (online recipe sites)
- Copied text from other sources
- Uploaded documents (for example, Word or PDF files)
- AI-based parsing or summarization tools that help convert text into structured recipes
These tools are provided for your personal organization and private use.
4.1 Private Use of Imported Recipes
Any recipe you import from an external website or document is intended for your private use within Cauldron. Imported recipes will remain private by default and are not meant to be publicly redistributed without substantial rewriting and your confirmation that you have the right to share them.
4.2 Attribution and Source URLs
When you import recipes from external sources, Cauldron may store and display the source URL within your private recipe for reference and attribution. This does not replace or override any rights held by the original author or publisher.
4.3 No Guarantee of Accuracy
AI-assisted tools and import features may sometimes produce inaccurate, incomplete, or malformed results. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any imported or AI-generated content before relying on it.
4.4 User Responsibility
You agree not to use Cauldron’s import or AI tools to:
- Circumvent paywalls or access controls.
- Copy or redistribute copyrighted recipes or text without permission.
- Publish or share content you do not have the right to share.
- Misrepresent someone else’s work as your own.
